Business networking platform LinkedIn has named its top companies for career progression in 20+ countries worldwide, with multiple consulting firms making the cut across three Asian editions.

Launched across all corners of the globe, the LinkedIn Top Companies ranking is compiled according to the platform’s extensive data on eight measures of career progression, including in areas such as skills growth, company stability, advancement opportunities, and gender diversity.

The rankings also track employee promotions within companies and departures, including overall attrition rates.

This year, the Top Companies ranking was released in five Asian countries: India, Indonesia, Japan, Philippines, and Singapore.

Most notably, Tata Consultancy Services has been named the overall top employer in India, ranking ahead of Amazon and Morgan Stanley. The Indian list also features two of the Big Four firms, with Deloitte landing sixth spot, and EY ranking number 18. Rivals PwC and KPMG did not make the list.

Similarly, the Philippines list is also topped by a consultancy: Accenture, one of the world’s largest consulting and technology companies. The US-headquartered group ranks ahead of the likes of consumer goods giants Unilever, Nestle and Procter & Gamble, technology groups Kyndryl and SAP, tobacco company Philip Morris, telecommunications corporation the Globe Group, and energy enterprise Aboitiz Power.

Accenture has also been recognised as Japan’s leading consulting-focused employer by LinkedIn, holding 4th spot behind tech giants Amazon and Alphabet, and Takeda. Deloitte, McKinsey & Company, and PwC are the other consultancies that enjoy the largest career attractiveness in the country.

“In this fast-evolving business environment, professionals seek guidance on the companies to work for that offer career growth and long-term success. The 2023 Top Companies list is filled with actionable insights and resources that help professionals at all levels discover job opportunities,” said LinkedIn in a statement accompanying the release of its international rankings.
