Mercer promotes KyuMan (Kenneth) Hwang to partner in Korea
Global human resources consulting firm Mercer has promoted KyuMan (Kenneth) Hwang to partner in its South Korea team.
The promotion of Hwang reflects according to HyungKoo Lee, the CEO of Mercer in South Korea, his “his success in his most recent position as Mercer’s Career Products Leader”, a position he has held since 2015. Earlier, Hwang also previously led the firm’s retirement business.
“In his time at Mercer, Kenneth has demonstrated strong commercial acumen, an ability to lead and develop teams, along with a deep understanding of local client needs,” said Lee.
In his new role, Hwang will continue to drive growth for the Career business, helping clients design and implement workforce strategies to effectively enhance employee experience, while finding opportunities to bring solutions across health, wealth, and career to clients across South Korea.
“Kenneth is a proven leader with a distinguished track record and strong understanding of our business, culture and people. His appointment comes at an important time of Marsh McLennan’s continued growth and investment into Korea,” said Renée McGowan, President – Asia, Middle East & Africa at Mercer.
Globally, Mercer is led by Willis Towers Watson veteran Martine Ferland, who oversees a team of 25,000 employees working from offices in 40+ countries.
