David Branagh appointed to regional Asia role at Mercer Marsh Benefits
Marsh McLennan has appointed David Branagh as the Small & Medium Enterprises Leader for Asia within its Mercer Marsh Benefits service line.
Based out of Hong Kong, David Branagh will focus on driving growth of Mercer Marsh Benefits within the SME segment. He will collaborate closely with Caroline Tan, who leads the SME segment within Mercer Marsh Benefits worldwide.
Mercer Marsh Benefits is a joint service line of Mercer and Marsh, two businesses within Marsh McLennan. The unit combines expertise in human resources (Mercer) with insurance (Marsh) to offer clients an integrated offering for its employee benefits, including in areas such as compensation & benefits, health insurance, retirement plans, and other workplace benefits.
Branagh has been Mercer for a decade, and an integral part of the Mercer Marsh Benefits team for six years. Previously working in the UK as a health and wellbeing consultant, he transitioned to Asia as a Client Director in 2024. In this capacity, he oversaw important projects and initiatives that shaped benefits strategies for the firm’s multinational clients.
Commenting on the appointment, Steven Yu, Asia Leader of Mercer Marsh Benefits, said: “We are thrilled to promote David Branagh to this role. He has been an integral part of our growth in the region and brings a wealth of experience to this pivotal role.”
