BrazilDeloitte named one of the best companies to work for in Vietnam
Global accounting and consulting firm Deloitte has been named one of Vietnam’s best employers to work for in a survey held among more than 3,700 employees in the country. The firm is the only consultancy to make the prestigious list.
Over 130 of Vietnam’s largest and best known companies have been evaluated by one of the nation’s leading human resources publications, with the hopes of being nominated for the HR Asia Best Companies to Work for Asia Award in 2018. This year, 3,730 employees with more than six months of experience with the companies in question responded to the survey, before HR Asia conducted in-depth interviews with executives and HR bosses to better understand recruitment and employment policies, as well as the strategic points prioritised by each business to try and foster a good working environment.
At the end of this process, a long-list of companies has be revealed, with 27 businesses being selected as the companies with best workplaces in Vietnam. The chosen few feature a myriad of different businesses from a broad array of sectors, including a number of large multinationals, such as Dutch firms FrieslandCampina and Heineken, global food giant Nestle, Bosch Prudential, and Indian It giant Wipro.
Remarking on her company’s success, Truong Bich Đao – Human Resources Director of Nestle Vietnam stated, "Our employees strive to make greater impact every day through continuous improvement and innovation. They grow together with the Company's growth; their success contributes to the Company's success. Nestle Vietnam is their 2nd home for their long-term career, not only a job."
Le Qui Don, Human Resources Director, Heineken Vietnam, said that Heinken has incorporated its sustainability strategy into its core business, with a key focus on caring for People, Planet and Prosperity. He stated, "We believe the better trained our people are, the bigger the impact they will have on our company and the country.”
The only consulting firm to have made the elite list is Deloitte. The Big Four professional services giant delivers value added services including Tax, Financial Advisory, Enterprise Risk Management, Consulting, Audit and Professional Training in Vietnam. The firm holds offices in both Ho Chi Minh City and the country’s capital of Hanoi, first arriving as part of a joint venture with the Vietnam Auditing Company (VACO) in 1992. Having since become an official member firm of the world’s leading professional services network, Deloitte Vietnam has consistently recorded among the highest rates of growth of any accounting firm in Vietnam.
