Cognizant acquires Asia Pacific Salesforce consulting specialist SaaSfocus
Global digital consultancy Cognizant has continued its string of recent acquisitions with the purchase of Asia-based Salesforce specialist SaaSfocus.
Following the recent acquisitions of Hedera and Bolder Healthcare Solutions, respectively a Belgian data analytics advisory and a healthcare sector revenue management service provider of the US, and on the back of an earlier series of pick-ups in 2016 and 2017 which has seen it storm into the Fortune 200 rankings, the New Jersey headquartered IT services firm Cognizant has made a fresh purchase; Asia-based Salesforce specialist SaaSfocus.
Privately-held, SaaSfocus was established in 2009 and has since gone on to become one of the leading boutique digital transformation consulting firms in the Asia Pacific specialising in Salesforce – the top cloud-based customer relation management (CRM) platform worldwide – achieving Salesforce Platinum Partnership in 2016 and being recognised as an Enterprise Partner of the Year. Customers include Honda, Samsung, Ansell and integrated real estate services firm CBRE.
Founded in India, with a 2014 expansion to Australia and New Zealand, and focused on the financial services, insurance, manufacturing, and automotive sectors, the firm’s now more than 350 expert consultants will be folded into Cognizant’s Salesforce practice – which as a Salesforce Global Strategic partner boasts one of the largest professional headcounts in the world for Salesforce-certified consultants.“We look forward to welcoming the SaaSfocus team to Cognizant and combining our strengths to create new transformative digital solutions for our clients," said Jayajyoti Sengupta, Head of APAC at Cognizant. “This acquisition of a respected and successful Salesforce specialist underlines our commitment to helping clients in Australia and India digitally transform their businesses and reshape the way they interact with their customers.”
With over a quarter of a million employees worldwide and revenues last year pushing toward $15 billion, Cognizant itself boasts a strong presence in India, featuring offices in Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru and Pune among its ten in the country in addition to antipodean outlets in Melbourne, Sydney and Auckland. Cognizant said in a statement that the SaaSfocus acquisition will further expand the firm’s capabilities in these growing markets.
Meanwhile, ANZ CEO of SaaSfocus Amit Choudhary noted Cognizant’s global reach and innovate culture. “Combining Cognizant's global capabilities, deep domain expertise and digital solutions with SaaSfocus's specialised Salesforce consulting competencies will help us accelerate our clients’ digital transformation journeys and create global opportunities for our employees,” Choudhary said. “Cognizant's global delivery footprint, digital expertise and culture of innovation and empowerment made it a natural fit for SaaSfocus.”
