BrazilSAP consultancy itelligence picks up Thai specialist ISS Consulting
Global SAP specialist and NTT Data Group subsidiary itelligence AG has acquired ISS Consulting – one of Thailand’s leading SAP consultancies.
Global platinum SAP partner itelligence AG, a German headquartered subsidiary of NTT Data group with a headcount of 8,000-plus professionals across 25 countries, has acquired Bangkok-based SAP consultancy ISS Consulting – one of Thailand’s leading SAP specialists with a focus on the manufacturing, automotive, retail, and food and beverage industry sectors. The deal is expected to be completed in September.
“The new alliance is of high strategic importance to us,” said NTT Data Business Solutions and itelligence CEO Norbert Rotter, who expressed the firm’s goal toward being the leading SAP provider in APAC. “We are entering Thailand to take advantage of a fast growing and strong SAP market. ISS Consulting’s significant industry know-how in the manufacturing, automotive supplier and food sectors makes the company a perfect fit for the itelligence group."
Founded in 1997, ISS Consulting has a staff of roughly 250, with specialisation in a wide range of SAP solutions, including S/4 HANA, SAP SuccessFactors and SAP Ariba among others. “Customers in the South East Asia region will now have even better access to outstanding SAP expertise, a fact that will ultimately be reflected in jointly developed innovative systems,” said NTT DATA Business Solutions APAC CEO Sharath Burla, who crossed from DXC last year.
Burla noted that Japanese and multinational companies that are either based or produce in Thailand will especially benefit from the collaboration, while outlining the advantages for both companies, with ISS Consulting to gain access to itelligence and NTT Data’s global innovation network, including NTT Data in Thailand, and NTT better enabled to serve and address its customer requirements across Indochina.
“This acquisition will also generate increased cross-selling potential for ISS Consulting and NTT DATA Business Solutions,” added Burla, with the share acquisition allowing itelligence in turn to intensify “its partnership with SAP Asia Pacific, in general, and with SAP Thailand, in particular.” While Deloitte and Accenture dominated overall, ISS Consulting was recently named General Business Top Sell Partner at the regional SAP Partner Excellence Awards.
itelligence, too, has received significant recent recognition from SAP, picking up a 2019 Pinnacle Award for Global Platinum Reseller of the Year. “In the course of the comprehensive transformation of IT landscapes and business processes through digitisation, our customers obtain immediate benefits from the combination of excellent consulting from itelligence and the solutions from SAP, the global market leader in business software,” Rotter said in response.
