Three firms partner for joint technology consulting offering in Indonesia

Vietnam-headquartered FPT has signed two partnership agreements with two Indonesian consulting firms. Together, the three companies aim to generate up to $100 million in revenue within five years.

The tripartite partnership was inked with LAPI ITB – a consultancy and technology solutions provider under the Bandung Institute of Technology – and Digital Utama Lestari, a consulting and project management company. The joining forces will focus on supporting Indonesia’s National Digital Transformation Programme, providing a range of digital transformation and technology services and solutions.

FPT entered the Indonesian market in 2017 and has since grown to a team of more than 200 technology experts.

“FPT is committed to continuing to support Indonesia’s national modernisation process, improving the quality of public services and creating new growth opportunities for businesses and communities, in line with the country’s long-term vision,” said FPT Chairman Truong Gia Binh.

Based on FPT’s global technological capabilities, LAPI ITB’s academic and research strengths, and DUL’s local market expertise, the parties will jointly develop scalable digital platforms, modernise key public systems, and promote the adoption of advanced technologies. Their cooperation will focus on developing national digital platforms for public services, modernising tax and public finance systems, developing smart tourism, and regional digital transformation.

The collaboration will provide expertise in emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), cloud computing, cybersecurity, high-performance computing, and digital solutions. Key sectors targeted are public services, financial services, agriculture, healthcare, logistics, energy, smart cities, and semiconductors.

Yusmar Anggadinata, the CEO of LAPI ITB, said: “This partnership will connect FPT’s global technological expertise with PT LAPI ITB’s academic research to accelerate the implementation of large-scale digital transformation programmes in strategic sectors.”

The CEO of Digital Utama Lestari, Ryan Kristo Muljono, added: “Working with FPT and LAPI ITB, we aim to deliver substantive results in Indonesia’s digital transformation, including promoting modernisation, empowering organisations, and creating measurable value across many sectors in localities.”
