Antonius Santoso joins Alvarez & Marsal senior team in Jakarta
Alvarez & Marsal has strengthened its senior team in Jakarta with Antonius Santoso, who joins the firm from McKinsey & Company.
Appointed a Managing Director in the Performance Improvement practice, Santoso brings nearly 20 years of consulting and operating experience across Southeast Asia, the Middle East and Latin America.
Santoso specializes in large-scale enterprise transformation across the telecoms, energy and natural resources, technology, and digital infrastructure sectors. His experience spans AI and digital transformation, B2B growth and commercial excellence, new business building, and family-owned business transformation.
Prior to joining Alvarez & Marsal, Santoso was with McKinsey & Company in Indonesia and Singapore, where he focused on growth strategy and large-scale transformation programs. Notable engagements he worked on include designing and delivering growth and performance transformations for leading telecoms and tech companies, developing AI-enabled business and operating models, advising state-owned enterprises on portfolio strategy and value creation, and helping family-owned businesses accelerate growth and strengthen governance.
Outside his time in management consulting, he was co-founder and chief executive of a Singapore-based e-commerce company and held strategy and operating roles with The Walt Disney Company and Schlumberger.

Antonius Santoso earned a bachelor’s degree in informatics engineering from Bandung Institute of Technology, an MBA from INSEAD, a master’s degree in computer and information technology from the University of Pennsylvania, and a master’s degree in supply chain management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
