PwC Consulting opens new Indonesia office in Yogyakarta
Big Four firm PwC has opened a new office in Yogyakarta, located within the Innovation and Creativity Center of Universitas Gadjah Mada. The office will serve as a base for the Indonesian consulting business.
The opening marks an important milestone in PwC’s expansion across the country. “Our new Yogyakarta office is a strategic move aligned with PwC’s commitment to human resource development in Indonesia,” said Eddy Rintis, Senior Partner at PwC Consulting in Indonesia.
The new hub will primarily focus on technology and artificial intelligence services, while also supporting projects that require specialised consulting expertise.
“Our Yogyakarta office reflects PwC’s dedication to strengthening its presence in Indonesia and supporting national digital transformation by harnessing the potential of digital talent from Central Java and surrounding regions,” said Martijn Peeters, President Director of PwC Consulting in Indonesia.
Yogyakarta – known as a centre of culture and education – was selected for its business potential and the opportunity to tap into the talent pool at Universitas Gadjah Mada. “This new office is not merely about business expansion, but also a long-term effort to deepen PwC’s contribution to education,” Rintis added.
Simon Gealy, CEO of PwC Consulting in South-East Asia, expressed his appreciation to Universitas Gadjah Mada for the partnership. “From our base in Yogyakarta, we will help students connect with industry. We invite them to join PwC and be part of the change.”
PwC has been operating in Indonesia since the early 1970s and currently has offices in Jakarta, Surabaya, and Yogyakarta.
