Alvarez & Marsal kicks off Thailand expansion with senior team hire
Global professional services firm Alvarez & Marsal has expanded its footprint in Southeast Asia with a new office in Thailand, its 5th in the region.
The market expansion has been kicked off through the launch of a Tax team, with five seasoned professionals brought on board to establish and build out the practice. In the period ahead, Alvarez & Marsal aims to expand its offerings in Thailand with other lines of business, including Management Consulting, Mergers & Acquisitions, and Restructuring.

The launch team
For its first chapter of growth in Thailand, Alvarez & Marsal has hired a 5-person team consisting of Anthony Loh, Korneeka Koonachoak, Nu To Van, and Stuart Simons (Managing Directors) and Amornphan Oopachodsuwan (Senior Director). All five have a background at a major accounting and consulting group.

By the end of the year, Alvarez & Marsal plans to have a team of more than 250 professionals across its Southeast Asia offices in Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia and Vietnam. The 10,000-person global firm also operates Asia-based offices in China, Hong Kong, South Korea, and India, with its global headquarters located in New York.
