CCi appoints Nick Barham as Head of Technical Expert Services
Nick Barham has relocated from the United Kingdom to Singapore, continuing his career at Capital Consulting International (CCi) – now as Head of Technical Expert Services for Asia.
Previously serving as a director in CCi’s London office, Nick Barham has over 20 years of experience as a Chartered Civil and Structural Engineer in the construction industry, specialising in forensic engineering, dispute resolution, and expert witness work.
Throughout his career, Barham has advised a wide range of stakeholders, including lawyers, clients, consultants, contractors, insurers and loss adjustors, on forensic examination and the appraisal of various civil and building technical and contractual issues.
One of Barham’s key focus areas is dispute resolution, where he provides independent advice on complex technical problems. He prepares CPR compliant reports on technical issues for submission in court proceedings and exchange in adjudication and arbitration hearings, and he participates in mediation, settlement negotiations, and expert discussions, acting on behalf of claimants, defendants, and as a single joint expert.
Barham has been with Capital Consulting International since early 2021. Earlier, he worked at William J Marshall & Partners, a company specialised in the technical aspects of construction disputes, and design firm Alan Baxter & Associates, where he spent close to eight years.
In his new role, Barham will oversee the firm’s technical expert services across Asia. He will meanwhile continue to support his existing UK-based insurance and construction clients.
