McKinsey partner Sai Tunuguntla joins AlixPartners in Hong Kong
Sai Tunuguntla, a partner at McKinsey & Company in Singapore, has joined rival AlixPartners in its Hong Kong office.
Appointed a Managing Director (the equivalent of partner at AlixPartners), Sai Tunuguntla has been tasked with expanding the firm’s presence in the technology, media & telecommunications industry (known as TMT in consulting jargon).
Tunuguntla brings some 25 years of experience in consultancy and industry to the consulting firm, having previously served Kearney for a decade and AT&T for just under a decade. He relocated from the US to Singapore in the summer of 2015.
Most recently at McKinsey & Company, Tunuguntla served as a partner and the global co-leader of the technology strategy and operations domains within the TMT practice. He also led the creation of advanced analytics solutions and diagnostics tool – often in collaboration with third party solution providers.
At Kearney, he led cost transformation, corporate and growth strategy engagements for telecommunication, technology, and retail clients. In his most recent role at AT&T, he was a Principal Member of Technical Staff at AT&T leading operations planning for B2B services.
Tunuguntla specialises in technology strategy, capital productivity, organisation transformation, business planning, cost optimisation, enterprise performance, infrastructure transactions, and digital transformations.

Sai Tunuguntla obtained an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin, graduating with Dean’s honours and Phi Kappa Phi Honours. He is also an AWS certified cloud practitioner and a certified scrum expert.
