BrazilShiv Shivaraman and Tom Noda lead AlixPartners in Asia
Global consulting firm AlixPartners has installed a new leadership duo for its Asia-Pacific division.
Shiv Shivaraman and Tom Noda have both been serving AlixPartners for a number of years, and have now been appointed as Co-Leaders for the region. Shivaraman joined the consultancy in 2015, while and Noda has over thirteen years of service for the firm under his belt.
The duo leads AlixPartners’ four offices in Asia-Pacific, based in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Seoul and Tokyo. “Together, Shiv and Tom will partner to lead the region in further building our presence in Asia-Pacific, which is an important and growing market,” said Simon Freakley, the global CEO of the US-headquartered management consulting firm.
Unpacking on their key objectives for the region, both new leaders said that they aim to expand the firm’s footprint. “Asia is a dynamic region and presents a lot of opportunities for us,” said Shivaraman, with Noda adding “As Asia-Pacific continues to power the global economy, we are thrilled to lead the firm to new heights during this challenging time.”
Shiv Shivaraman has more than 25 years of global engineering and consulting experience across numerous sectors, with a focus on the automotive, industrial, and chemical sectors. His functional expertise includes performance improvement, large-scale transformation programs, merger integrations, and cost management, as well as SG&A and operations optimisation (strategic sourcing, supply chain, manufacturing and logistics).
He also has extensive experience in supporting the improvement of underperforming companies and turnarounds. The Indian-origin consultant, previously a partner at Kearney and India, is the local market leader for Greater China.
Tom Noda is a former KPMG and McKinsey & Company consultant who specialises in mergers & acquisitions and restructuring. He has nearly three decades of experience in supporting the improvement of underperforming companies and in cross-border acquisitions of Japanese and non-Japanese companies, from pre-acquisition phase to post-merger integration. Noda is the market leader for the offices in Japan and South Korea.
Globally, AlixPartners has offices in more than 25 cities around the world. The private equity backed firm has around 2,000 consultants and staff.
