BrazilLewis Garrad leads Mercer's Career business in Singapore
Global HR consulting firm Mercer has promoted Lewis Garrad to Head of its Career division in Singapore.
Lewis Garrad has been with the consulting firm his entire career, joining the firm in 2006 in the UK after completing his studies at the University of Nottingham. Garrad spent the first decade with employee engagement consultancy Sirota Consulting, growing the ranks to become the firm’s Managing Director for Asia Pacific, joining Mercer when it acquired Sirota Consulting at the end of 2016.
Based in Singapore, Garrad held a number of leadership roles at Mercer over the past years, including serving as Employee Experience Leader, International and Career Solutions Leader for Singapore. In the roles, he led the rapid scaling of the firm’s employee engagement offerings and employee survey solutions in the region as well as across other growth markets.
Per the 1st of January 2021, he has been installed as the leader of one of Mercer’s main divisions in Singapore. In his new role, he leads and will drive the growth of Mercer’s Career business in Singapore, overseeing a team of over 50 reward and talent consultants. This team helps clients plan future workforce models, drive digital transformation and redesign jobs, alongside identifying skills and capabilities for current and future needs.
Other topics Mercer’s Career business works in include helping organisations drive healthy and productive cultures through engaging employee experiences and developing competitive pay and incentive policies.
Garrad is passionate about helping leaders and HR executives design people practices that improve organisational performance, and has worked with a broad range of clients across industries, including Shell, Rolls-Royce, Skype, Solvay, Tullow Oil, National Grid, Westfield, Ahold Delhaize and TNT as well as a number of others.
As part of this role, Garrad is a member of the Country Leadership Team (CLT) in Singapore.
