Business services provider Tricor makes two key appointments in Asia
Asian business services provider Tricor has made two key appointments: Prasad KNVS to lead its Shared Services Centre and Catharine Wong as Executive Director and Head of Investor Services in Hong Kong.
Billing itself as Asia’s leading provider of integrated business, corporate, investor, human resources & payroll, and corporate trust & debt services, Hong Kong-headquartered Tricor boasts of over 30,000 clients globally, served by a workforce of 2,400-plus spread across 21 countries. According to Tricor, it serves more than more than 40 percent of the Fortune Global 500, along with 1,800 companies listed across Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia.
Still on a growth path (in February, Tricor entered into a strategic alliance with Japan’s SATO Group), the firm continues to invest in talent – following up other recent key appointments with two new additions in Asia; veteran business process management professional Prasad KNVS as head of the Tricor’s Shared Services Centre to be based out of Kuala Lumpur, and ex-HKEX exec Catharine Wong as Executive Director and Head of Investor Services in Hong Kong.
Joining after more than four and a half years with Genpact, where he served as its Lead Solution Architect, Prasad KNVS has altogether more than 20 years of cross-sector experience in areas such as process transformation, business process outsourcing consultancy, and operations solutions in various locations worldwide. Prior to Genpact, he was a senior engagement manager with Capgemini for four years in Bangalore, and earlier spent two stints with Infosys.
Drawing on his wealth of experience, Prasad KNVS in his new role as head of Tricor’s Shared Services Centre will now be responsible for supporting the department’s financial accounting, payroll, IT, corporate services and other shared service centre functions, with the aim of building “integrated technology-enabled operations to improve client experience and deliver business value by, among others, optimising business processes throughout the Asia Pacific.”
“It is with great pleasure to announce the appointment of Prasad as Head of the Shared Service Centre,” said Wendy Wang, Tricor Group Chief Operating Officer & Group Chief Financial Officer. “We’re a services company, which means our employees are our number one asset and priority. I’m confident Prasad will generate significant value for our clients and staff given his rich experience in the industry and deep knowledge of how to enhance business processes.”
Meanwhile, Tricor last month also added Catharine Wong in Hong Kong as Executive Director and Head of Investor Services. Wong crosses from the HKEX after seven years, where she was Head of the Depository and Nominee Services department and responsible for overseeing the daily operation and business development of all the depository, IPO and corporate action processes at the exchange. Earlier, she served as a Senior Vice President at HSBC Securities Services.
“I am delighted to welcome Catharine to Tricor Hong Kong. She will be a member of the senior management team and will be responsible for driving our growth and investment in this important segment,” said Joe Wan, CEO of Tricor Hong Kong. “Investor Services is an integral part of Tricor’s growth strategy, and with the fast-changing market dynamics, Catharine’s vast experience puts her in a unique position not only to transform the way we work, but also to assist our clients in focusing on what matters most – building their business.”
