PwC installs Simon Gealy as CEO of consulting business in Thailand

Simon Gealy, the CEO of PwC Consulting in South East Asia, has taken on the additional role of Consulting Leader for Thailand.

With nearly four decades of expertise in consulting, Simon Gealy is one of PwC’s most senior and experienced consultants in its South East Asia business.

Based in Thailand since 2021, he has served as CEO of PwC South East Asia Consulting since 2020. In the role, he oversees 2,000 professionals across six countries: Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam.

In Thailand, Gealy succeeds Vilaiporn Taweelappontong, who has served as the local practice leader for Consulting from 2013 to 2025. After more than two decades with the firm, she has now moved on to Microsoft, where she has become a senior member of its leadership team in the region.

Successor Gealy is a long-time servant of the Big Four firm. He joined PwC in 1994 in the UK, was appointed a partner in 1999 and has since then held numerous leadership and executive roles in the US and Asia. He focuses on the financial services sector, advising major banks on regulatory, technology, mergers & acquisitions, and strategic initiatives.
