YCP has made a major move to strengthen its management consulting capabilities with the acquisition of Renoir Consulting, a Singapore-headquartered consultancy with around 350 professionals across multiple locations worldwide.

Established in 1994, Renoir Consulting is a firm specialising in operational excellence, helping clients enhance productivity and achieve business improvements through hands-on execution and behavioural change. The firm has a strong track record across diverse industries such as energy, financial services, mining, and utilities.

While Renoir Consulting’s main footprint is in Asia, with offices in seven countries, the firm also has a significant presence outside the region. In Europe, it operates offices in the UK and Switzerland; in Africa, it maintains a base in Mauritius; and in the Americas, it serves clients from offices in the US and Brazil. Meanwhile, in 2022 Renoir Consulting entered the Middle East through an acquisition in Dubai.

The deal

Thirty-one years after its founding, Renoir Consulting is now merging into YCP, one of the leading strategy and management consulting firms with Asian-origin roots. The firm has over 500 consultants working from 20 offices – with a footprint notably similar to that of the company it is acquiring.

“With its proven expertise in driving operational improvements and corporate transformation across a wide spectrum of industries, Renoir Consulting is an excellent partner that brings new expertise to YCP,” said Yuki Ishida, Director and CEO of YCP. “Through this integration, we will further expand our capabilities to provide end-to-end support – from strategy formulation to execution and continuous improvement – and accelerate our growth as a professional firm leading Asia.”

The deal continues YCP’s path of inorganic expansion, complementing its organic strategy of launching new offices. Previous acquisitions include Shenkuo in China (2024), Consus in India (2023), Auctus Advisors in India (2022), and the Asia-wide outfit Solidiance (2018).

“Since our listing in 2021, we’ve been actively promoting the sophistication of our services, while expanding the range of industries we serve, in order to deliver sustainable growth for all stakeholders,” said Ishida.

The synergies

Upon completion, Renoir Consulting will become a wholly owned subsidiary of YCP. Financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.

“At Renoir Consulting, we are excited to join YCP. There is a lot of synergy between us both in terms of services, geographic footprint, and opportunities,” said Krishna Paupamah, Founder and CEO of Renoir Consulting.

“We both have an Asian business focus, complemented by operations in Europe and America. We offer complementary services to our clients and are a great fit for each other in terms of structure and culture.”

With YCP part of Nextcontinent, a global consulting network with over 3,000 people around the world, Renoir Consulting will through YCP also gain global coverage for its clients.

Paupamah: “Working together as an integrated team will bring many benefits for our clients, stakeholders, and employees. I look forward to celebrating many successes together as we move through the next phase of our journey and development.”
