McKinsey in Korea appoints Um Soo-hyung and Koo Won-mo as partners

Global strategy consulting firm McKinsey & Company has promoted two of its associate partners in South Korea, Um Soo-hyung and Koo Won-mo, to the position of partner.
Um Soo-hyung currently serves as the co-leader of the Transformation and Operations practice of McKinsey in South Korea. With 15 years of experience in consulting and financial advisory, Soo-hyung has led company-wide projects across diverse industries, including heavy industry, semiconductors, automotive, biotechnology, and robotics.
Koo Won-mo is an expert in strategy and corporate finance, active in advanced industries such as secondary batteries, semiconductors, and electric vehicles, with a particular strength in cross-border mergers & acquisitions. Since joining McKinsey & Company, he has conducted corporate due diligence and postmerger integration for leading domestic companies.
Won-mo also co-authored ‘Korea’s Next S-Curve’, an in-depth economic analysis of the nation’s growth agenda, published by McKinsey & Company last year.

US-headquartered McKinsey & Company has been serving clients in South Korea since the early 1980s. The firm opened its Seoul office in 1991.
