Hayato Akagawa joins Japanese healthcare practice of L.E.K. Consulting
Global strategic consultancy firm L.E.K. Consulting has strengthened its Healthcare Advisory practice in Asia Pacific with Hayato Akagawa.
Based in Tokyo, Hayato Akagawa has over 15 years of experience, specializing in portfolio strategies, market access strategies, and driving sales model transformation within the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries. His career includes senior roles at leading industry players such as Janssen Pharmaceuticals and Pfizer, at investment bank Locust Walk, and Big Four consulting firm PwC.
Before joining L.E.K. Consulting as a Principal, Akagawa served as Vice President at Locust Walk, where he developed and managed client relationships with major Japanese pharmaceutical companies, and as Director of Healthcare Advisory at PwC, where he led diverse projects, from portfolio strategy and market access to go-to-market models for new products, in various segments including rare disease, oncology and immunology.
Akagawa also brings to L.E.K. Consulting a proven background in brand and portfolio management from his roles at Janssen Pharmaceuticals and Pfizer, where he managed and grew multi-billion yen portfolios and executed successful product launches.
