Inverto gears up in Asia with Kuala Lumpur and Jakarta offices
European procurement and supply chain consultancy Inverto has launched two new offices in Southeast Asia, adding to its existing Asian hub in China.
Headquartered in Germany, Inverto now has 16 offices worldwide, nearly of all of which are in Europe. The addition of new hubs in Kuala Lumpur and Jakarta sees the subsidiary of Boston Consulting Group (BCG) double down on its Asian ambitions, which the firm has earmarked as a key part of its growth strategy.
“The expansion of Inverto into Southeast Asia is a major milestone for the company,” said Daniel Weise, CEO of Inverto.
“The ASEAN region has experienced tremendous growth over the past two decades. This expansion enables us to support our local clients in maximizing the impact of their procurement and supply chain strategies,” said Weise.
In the procurement space, Inverto helps clients develop sourcing strategies, reduce procurement spending, and enhance supplier management. The firm also supports the transformation of procurement functions, including in the area of digitization.
Meanwhile, in the supply chain space, Inverto has offerings for supply chain resilience, trade optimization, and logistics, among others. Across its portfolio, Inverto also has a number of multidisciplinary services, such as working capital optimization and sustainability.
Welcoming the firm’s expertise into the region, Alex Dolya, Managing Director and Partner at Boston Consulting Group and Leader of BCG’s Operations practice in Asia Pacific, stated: “We’re excited to strengthen our presence in procurement and supply chain here and drive substantial impact for our clients.”
Leading Inverto’s new Kuala Lumpur and Jakarta offices is Fahad Anwar, who has been appointed as Managing Director for Southeast Asia. He has over 20 years of experience in procurement and supply chain management across continents and across multiple sectors, with a focus on the utilities, consumer goods, telecommunications, and government sectors.
“Inverto’s singular focus on procurement and supply chain management, along with expert-led teams, has achieved remarkable success in recent years. I am thrilled to shape the firm’s presence in this dynamic and thriving region and drive concrete value for our ASEAN clients,” said Anwar.
Inverto was founded in 2000 by four German co-founders. In 2016, Inverto was acquired by Boston Consulting Group. The firm has since then grown from 130 staff in Western Europe to a near-global player with over 500 employees in North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific.
