AlixPartners boosts Asia team with Janet Tang and Michael Mo
AlixPartners has strengthened its team with two new Partners & Managing Directors: Janet Tang and Michael Mo.
Janet Tang is a leader in driving growth, transformation, and innovation in cloud, artificial intelligence, Industry 4.0, and omni-channel commerce, with over two decades of experience across Greater China, the United States and Canada.
At AlixPartners, Tang is a member of the Technology, Media & Telecommunications (TMT) practice. She operates out of the firm’s Hong Kong office.
Prior to joining AlixPartners, Tang held various senior leadership roles at Lenovo. As Chief Strategy Officer, she was instrumental in spearheading the company's global strategic transformation in business innovation, digitalization, customer-centricity, and advancing services capabilities. She also served as the interim General Manager for the company’s expansion into enterprise hybrid cloud and transformed its global e-commerce platform and services.
Previously she was a Director at Microsoft, where she developed the cloud landing strategy into regional markets and led the execution of Azure go-to-market operations in Greater China, bootstrapping the Cloud ecosystem and partnerships. Tang also spent eight years with McKinsey & Company, serving global Fortune 500 clients in Asia-Pacific.

Michael Mo meanwhile is a member of the Performance & Technology practice. He is based in the Singapore office.
Mo specializes in helping organizations drive operational improvement through digitally-enabled transformation and create sustainable growth. He brings more than 17 years of experience in strategy development and value creation and has served clients across a full spectrum of businesses, including high-tech, consumer, automotive, real estate, and energy industries.
Prior to joining AlixPartners, Mo was a Partner at EY-Parthenon and headed its strategy-to-transformation operation service line in APAC, driving full-scale value creation for global and regional companies in Asia. Previously, he was an Associate Partner at McKinsey & Company where he was a core leader of its Digital Transformation Service. He also held leadership roles at Johnson & Johnson and SAP.
Throughout his career, Mo led numerous transformation and growth programs in Southeast Asia, Greater China, and Europe.
