Kearney appoints Nithin Chandra as new Southeast Asia leader

Global strategic consultancy Kearney has appointed Nithin Chandra as the new Managing Partner for Southeast Asia.

Nithin Chandra has been with the US-origin consulting firm for over fifteen years. Stepping into the shoes of Utsav Garg, who held the role for over two years, Chandra leads a team of over 180 consultants and staff across offices in Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand.

He takes end responsibility for the firm’s full portfolio in the region, including client and account management, engagement delivery, as well as talent development, internal operations and thought leadership.

Having joined Kearney in India in 2006 from Tata Motors (he relocated to Singapore in 2015), Chandra brings more than 18 years of consulting and industry experience across Southeast Asia, India and China to the role. Based in Singapore, he previously served as the Head of Kearney’s Strategic Operations practice across Asia Pacific. He was promoted into the partnership in the summer of 2017.

His track record includes working with regional and global clients (mainly agri-commodity, consumer products, metals & mining, pharmaceuticals and automotive) on topics such as operations strategy, organisation, profitability improvement, operational excellence, supply chain transformation and e-commerce.

A regular speaker in industry forums, Chandra is committed to talent development and, in his new role, he looks forward to “nurture the next generation of leaders at Kearney and build a community of diverse talent across our network.”

With around 3,600 employees globally generating revenues of around $1.5 billion, Kearney is one of the globe’s leading management consulting firms. Its roots go back to 1926, when Kearney (then A.T. Kearney) was founded by a former McKinsey & Company partner.

The Southeast Asia division was established in 1990 when Kearney first landed in Singapore. The current teams works for clients across an array of industries – from information and communications technology, telecommunications, consumer goods and retail to energy and process industries, automotive, and transportation.
