NMS Consulting expands into India with CIBC alliance
Within months of entering the European market, US-headquartered NMS Consulting has landed in India, doubling down on its Asian ambitions.
NMS Consulting is a young, fast growing management consulting firm providing strategic counsel, organisational consulting, tax advisory and communications advisory to clients in the private and public sector. The firm was founded in 2018 in the United States, and following the launch of six domestic offices, NMS Consulting has since crossed the Atlantic with the aim of building a global presence.
With an estimated value of $1.8 billion, India is one of Asia’s most important management consulting markets, and meanwhile, the country’s rapidly emerging middle class means that it also is one of the fastest growing markets. Against this backdrop, expanding into India was a “logical part of our growth strategy,” said Trevor Saliba, the founder and Managing Partner of NMS Consulting.
While the US consultancy earlier this year opted to buy itself into the UK market, and build its German and French practices organically, in India, NMS Consulting has chosen to enter the market through an exclusive agreement with an established player – Concept International Business Consulting (CIBC).
Founded in 2009, Concept International Business Consulting is a mid-sized strategy and management consultancy that specialises in helping its clients with market entry into India and doing business domestically. The firm has about 60 professionals across offices in New Delhi and Mumbai, and is led by a 5-strong partner team – Anoop Gupta, Sujay Sen Gupta, Yajna Prakash, Ritesh Dudeja and Saurabh Gupta.
CIBC’s track record spans helping over 750 companies from the US, Europe and Australia, including many Fortune 500 and FTSE 100 clients in a wide variety of industries ranging from manufacturing, automotive, consumer products, food and beverage, chemicals, construction, healthcare, electronics, paper and packaging.
Saliba: “CIBC is a leading Indian firm with a strong management team which offers a suite of unparalleled comprehensive services, and we look forward to a long lasting and mutually beneficial partnership. This partnership will directly benefit our US and European clients looking to enter the Indian market.”
As part of the alliance, Trevor Saliba and Harry Moore [Head of Europe at NMS Consulting] have been handed a seat on the advisory board of Concept International Business Consulting. Meanwhile, CIBC’s Sujay Gupta and Yajna Prakash will vice versa serve on the advisory board of NMS Consulting.
Globally, NMS Consulting has over 150 consultants and staff in 12 offices around the globe.
In related news, last year another leading Indian consultancy in its field, RedSeer Consulting, tied a strategic partnership with OC&C Strategy Consultants.
