Meredith Carson new managing partner for Golden Equator Consulting
Digital transformation, communications and marketing professional Meredith Carson has been appointed managing partner of Singapore’s Golden Equator Consulting.
Singapore-based advisory Golden Equator Consulting has appointed digital transformation and marketing specialist Meredith Carson as its new Managing Partner. Crossing after more than a decade in the Middle East, which included a near five-year stint as group director for content at Omnicom, Carson has been tapped to help drive the growth of the digitally-focused consultancy.
A graduate of the University of Sydney, Carson has since the early 2000s held numerous positions in the marketing and communications sphere, and was by the turn of last decade serving as the Head of Digital for Action Global Communications in the Middle East – a service line she founded for the firm herself. From there, Carson joined Omnicom in the UAE.
More recently, after stepping out on her own five years on, Carson has been serving as a director of strategy at Bravo Romeo by AJ, a smart government, ICT and media sector-focused integrated marketing & communications agency. Now, she will be heading up a team of strategists, analysts and creators at Golden Equator Consulting, its parent last year having secured $18 million in funding.
Since then, the Golden Equator Group’s tech-minded consulting division (along with its wealth and hospitality entities) has expanded offshore, earlier this year launching a brand new practice in Brunei. According to the firm, the news business is aimed at opportunities in the services, finances and digital sectors as well as at building a regionally-linked local innovation ecosystem.
This, the firm says, is in line with its “shared vision of using Singapore as a base to connect the region to build an even stronger business environment that will benefit the future generation.” Returning to Singapore, Carson has also been tasked with leading content-related initiatives across the Group’s other businesses, along with financial literary platform The Simple Sum.
“The 4th Industrial Revolution is no longer a theory but rather an emergent reality, where technology shapes the way we live, work, and interact,” Carson said upon her appointment. “Industries today have unprecedented opportunity to evolve, by looking beyond disruption to critically examine the aspects of business that can benefit from integrating technology.”
Originally launched in 2014, Golden Equator Consulting serves an expanding roster of clients with consultancy and implementation offerings grouped across six primary lines; digital consulting, operations, business strategy, market entry & research, marketing & creative, and tech & innovation – with its work further including start-up bootcamps and training and facilitation.
