DXC Technology adds another Accenture alum to executive team
DXC Technology has appointed Nachiket Sukhtankar as managing director of India Business Operations, adding to the growing list of recent Accenture recruits.
Global IT services and solutions consultancy DXC Technology appears to have a fairly clear leadership roadmap since the appointment of ex-Accenture executive Mike Salvino as CEO in September; stack the team with former Accenture heads. The latest is decade-long Accenture consultant and former APAC Technology Delivery lead Nachiket Sukhtankar, who has been appointed as the new Managing Director of DXC’s India Business Operations.
The appointment follows in quick succession from recent recruitment coup Ken Corless, a near three-decade Accenture veteran who crossed after the past four years as Deloitte’s Cloud Practice CTO to take up a post as DXC’ Executive Vice President for Offerings & Strategic Partners, and further follows that of Vinod Bagal’s appointment as EVP for Global Transformation in January, Bagal having also served for 20 years at Accenture.
In addition to a decade spent at Accenture, where he most recent served as a senior managing director in Mumbai, Sukhtankar has also served at Tata Consultancy Services and Infosys, altogether amassing two and a half decades of experience in business management and strategy. Now responsible for leading DXC’s India Delivery Center operations, Sukhtankar has been tasked with improving the firm’s competitive position in the country.
“Our business operation in India is critically important to our global customers and company, and Nachiket brings the proven experience and leadership to deliver results that contribute to DXC’s success. Having worked with him previously, I know he will make a tremendous difference,” said Bagal, who was appointed earlier this year to head up DXC’s Global Delivery function – joining the firm after the five past years at Cognizant.
Earlier, he had spent over two decades at Accenture, holding numerous leadership roles during his time, including as the tech consultancy giant’s global Infrastructure Services Delivery and Sales Support Services & Solutioning leads. Corless likewise held a number of high profile positions during his 30 years at the firm, most recently as managing director in charge of its North American Advanced Technologies and Architecture practice.
Added earlier this month, Corless will in his new role oversee DXC offerings in key areas such as cloud & platform services, analytics, security, Internet of Things (IoT), application services and enterprise cloud and applications, in addition to being responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with ecosystem partners. He will report to recently installed CEO Mike Salvino, who had also since 1987 spent over two decades at Accenture/Andersen Consulting.
Corless was the eighth addition to DXC’s senior leadership team since Salvino took the helm in September (with Sukhtanka making nine). “Ken will help us innovate, optimise and standardize our offerings to deliver differentiated solutions across the enterprise technology stack,” Salvino said. “In the IT industry today, teaming is critical to delivering for our customers, and Ken has a proven track record of developing industry leading partnerships that produce results.”
