PwC adds senior appointments to CMO Advisory practice in Australia
PwC has made two senior appointments to its CMO Advisory practice in Australia. Dan Robins joins the firm as Director of the Media Team, while Nicky Bryson joins as a Director for Brand & Consumer Insights.
Robins is an Economics graduate who began his professional career in 2005 as a consultant at global management consultancy Accenture. He later on worked in lead roles at marketing and media agencies Carat and OMD Australia, before moving to Spotify in 2017.
He was most recently the Asia Pacific Head of Automation & Data at Spotify, before he was made redundant by the firm while he was on parental leave. Bryson is also an experienced marketing professional, with a year and a half as Head of Brand Strategy at PwC’s CMO Advisory already under her belt during a previous stage of her professional career.
She has since been the Head of Strategy at TBWA Australia, a position that she left earlier this year to launch her own organisation known as The Trenhes. The free platform allows young professionals in the marketing, media and consulting industry to access mentoring resources.
The duo will now bolster PwC’s CMO Advisory segment in Australia. PwC is the fastest growing of the Big Four accounting and advisory firms in the country, and is looking to consolidate its position in the burgeoning marketing environment in the country. Brand value is becoming increasingly important, and PwC is looking to help clients develop more valuable branding strategies.
A number of advisory firms have been recently bolstering their marketing abilities in Australia, looking to remain competitive in the current environment. PwC’s CMO Advisory arm offers a range of services, which includes strategising on branding, marketing, media, communications, and data analytics.
Commenting on the new recruits, Partner at PwC’s CMO Advisory practice Justin Papps said, “Dan has extensive experience across the media spectrum and will help our clients solve the challenges they face across media strategy, spend, efficacy and measurement. As a champion of media transparency and efficacy, we look forward to Dan’s contribution to the work we are doing with clients to help them make the most of every media dollar they spend.”
“Nicky is well known and respected across the industry. Her passion for solving client’s most challenging business and marketing challenges drew her back to PwC, as well as the opportunity to further explore the way societal trends are influencing people’s interactions with organisations and brands,” he added.
