Kreston admits three accounting and advisory companies in China
One month after entering Cambodia, international accounting network Kreston have bolstered their presence in Asia’s largest economy with the admittance of three new member firms.
With a team of over 5,200 professionals and support staff in 71 offices, Kreston China is the network’s largest operation in Asia. The latest addition sees the accounting and advisory company ramp up its headcount by over 350 accountants, financial consultants and tax advisors. The three firms added are Shantou Shante, a firm with seven-partners based in Shantou City; Hunan Jianye, a Changsha-headquartered firm with 250 staff in the Hunan province; and Wuhan Kangli, a five-partner firm with over 100 staff in Hubei province.
Commenting on the expansion drive in China, Jon Lisby, Kreston’s CEO, said: “It is excellent that our Kreston China group is continuing to grow. We now have outstanding representation in over 25 major cities including several branch offices. Nationally Kreston China is now ranked within the top 10 networks and is well placed to compete in a challenging economic market.”
Edmond Chan, the Regional Director for Kreston Asia Pacific, added “I am delighted that we have secured these three quality firms to represent the brand in the region. Their admittance will definitely strengthen the Kreston China network”.
Last year Kreston China’s national conference, which the firm hosts every year for its affiliates, broke records when 92 delegates joined the host firm Brighture in Qingdao – the Olympic Sailing City. The Conference programme was spread over four days and was opened by Christopher Liptau, International Partner for Brighture together with Chan and Lisby.
Member firms Kreston previously admitted in China include Shenzhen Yida (based in Shenzhen; January 2015) and Hunan Tianping Zhengda (based in Changsha; February 2012).
Last month Kreston's Asia Pacific operation achieved another milestone with entry into the Cambodian market. In 2017, the regional accounting and consulting arm expanded into among others Indonesia, the Philippines and Vietnam.
