Kreston expands in Indonesia, the Philippines and Vietnam
Kreston, one of the globe’s larger professional services networks, has this year expanded its footprint in Asia with the additions of new member firms in Indonesia, the Philippines and Vietnam.
The Asia and Asia Pacific operation of Kreston currently ranks as the 11th largest accounting and audit services network in the region, with the division punching above the weight of the firm’s international presence, which holds a 12th position globally. The accounting network, established in 1971 and headquartered in London, has a presence in the majority of Asian countries, including China, Malaysia and Singapore. With a team of over 5,200 professionals and support staff in 71 offices spread throughout the country, China is Kreston’s largest operation in Asia.
Over the past ten months, Kreston has enlarged its Asian base in three countries:
Indonesia
In July, Indonesia based Kreston HHES (legal name KAP Hendrawinata Hanny Erwin & Sumargo) joined Kreston’s international network as a member firm. Kreston HHES, which provides accounting, audit services, tax advisory and consultancy services, has 16 partners and 250 professional and support staff operating from offices in Jakarta Surabaya and Medan.
Commenting on the addition, Kreston CEO Jon Lisby said “We are delighted to re-establish our representation in Indonesia with Kreston HHES, a firm that has an exceptional reputation for the quality of services to international clients. The future growth of Indonesia on the global stage makes it essential for us to have secure the strongest representation available. Kreston members from throughout the Asia Pacific Region look forward to meeting up with Kreston HHES at the Kreston Regional Conference in Kuala Lumpur early next month.
Erwin Winata, International Liaison Partner for Kreston HHES said “We are proud to represent Kreston in Indonesia and we look forward to building the strength of the brand in the region together with our relationships with fellow Kreston members and their clients.”
The Philippines
In March this year, MG Madrid & Co, an audit, tax and consulting services firm with offices in Makati City, Manila and Muntinlupa City, became Kreston’s member firm in the Philippines. “We have been looking for a quality firm to represent Kreston in the Philippines and we are delighted that MG Madrid & Company have agreed to join the global network, adding to our coverage in Asia and to support our members in the region,” said Lisby.
Mario G. Madrid, a partner at the joining member firm, remarked “It is an honour to join Kreston International. Our values, integrity, professionalism and commitment, are very much aligned with those of the network and we look forward to working with colleagues both across Asia and the global membership to further promote the Kreston brand in the region.”
Vietnam
The latest admission was completed last week, when Nam Nguyen Consulting in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, joined Kreston’s membership, adding to its current offering in the country. The new partner, which offers non-audit services including market entry, financing and international tax, will work closely with Kreston VN Auditing & Consulting, Kreston’s existing audit firm in Hanoi.
“It is excellent that we have been admitted to Kreston,” said Nam Nguyen, Managing Director of his namesake firm. “We now have the opportunity to work with our local Kreston colleagues to mutually benefit our clients and the wider membership. As Kreston’s emphasis on trust aligns well with our own values, it will further enable us to continue to provide seamless and consistent quality services to existing and new clients in Vietnam’s fast-growing market.”
Earlier this month, Kreston entered the Cambodian market with the admission of Cam Accounting & Tax Services to its network.
* Kreston HHES was created following a restructuring of a former member of Kreston’s network.
