Singapore's Kosh Consulting releases psychometric testing app for Asian market
Singapore-based organisational advisors Kosh Consulting Group have released an online psychometric assessment platform geared toward the Asian market.
Developed in-house, the psychometric iAssess platform released by Singapore-based firm Kosh Consulting Group offers a cost-effective and easy-to-use suite of self-administered assessments on an individual’s mental abilities, personality and behavioural tendencies – with, according to the firm, one key difference to similar existing products on the market: the platform has been developed with an Asian focus.
Proudly self-described as a firm ‘from Asia, for Asia’, Kosh Consulting provides tailored advisory services on human capital and corporate strategy for the private and public sectors, with offerings in executive coaching, leadership development, organisational effectiveness and succession planning among others. The firm contends that through its Asian roots, it can better understand Asia’s unique values, cultures and practices in serving clients operating in the local market.
In development since 2016, now the consulting firm has released its primarily Asia-focused iAssess personal testing platform, hoping to eliminate the cultural biases of other such products by building the assessments around local norms and languages, as well as by incorporating an extra layer of flexibility in adapting to existing practices of clients in the region. iAssess, the firm says, was developed in collaboration with experienced occupational psychologists and senior scientific advisors.“By making iAssess simple, cost-effective and accessible, we hope to help our clients make better hiring decisions, enhance employee development and groom highly effective managers and leaders,” said Kosh Consulting co-founder and CEO Koh Shin, who himself holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Sheffield and previously served in senior wealth management positions for Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan, Merrill Lynch, and Citigroup.
According to the firm, the psychometric questionnaires hosted on the iAssess platform which are based on established scientific literature have been proven as a useful predictive tool for workplace outcomes such as job performance and leadership ability, widely adopted for talent recruitment and people development. Available assessments include testing on cognitive abilities, personality, resilience, teamwork, agility, ethics, and situational judgment among others.
The iAssess platform also provides a range of analytical tools, including trend analysis, which grants the ability to track key talent metrics over time, role profiling to create ideal profiles of high impact employees in different functions, company talent audits, and predictive analytics, which use sophisticated statistical models to predict future outcomes based on current data – allowing firms to better cultivate leaders, build suitable teams, and recruit fresh talent.
Established in 2009, Kosh Consulting currently operates as a network with a roster of more than 50 available consultants who are either freelance practitioners, university academics or retired senior corporate executives, with the firm stating that the majority of its carefully selected independent consultants have upwards of 20 years of experience working with a broad range of clients in various sectors, and who have a significant leadership and management background.
