Accenture named among Microsoft Partner of the Year winners for 2018
Microsoft has announced its Partner of the Year awards for 2018, including within the worldwide Business Application and Data & IT categories as well as the individual country awards for the tech giant’s top partners across Asia.
Set to be celebrated at the Microsoft Inspire conference in Las Vegas over the weekend of the 14-15th July, the Microsoft Partner of the Year Awards acknowledge the top innovators and solution providers in a range of categories leveraging Microsoft technology across the firm’s global partner network, along with honouring its top achieving partners in over 100 countries.
Taking home the Microsoft Alliance Systems Integrator award this year was Accenture and Avanade, for the 11th year running and 14th time overall. Accenture and its majority-owned subsidiary Avanade– which was founded as a joint venture with Microsoft – were also named the SAP on Azure Partner of the Year, and the Dynamics for Finance and Operations Partner of the Year, edging out Infosys as a finalist in both categories.
“These awards recognise the unique and deep relationship we have with Microsoft, as both an industry leader in helping clients transform their businesses, and a partner to Microsoft itself as it rapidly innovates its own business,” Accenture’s chief technology & innovation officer Paul Daugherty said of the nod. “Together, Accenture, Avanade and Microsoft are investing in the future and helping our clients rotate to the new to drive the digital and cloud transformation they need to compete and succeed.”
In other categories of note, Cognizant has been recognised as the Big Data analytics Microsoft Partner of the Year (as well as being a finalist in Data Estate Modernization and Dynamic Sales awards), while another finalist KPMG Consulting has missed out to the technology and IT professional services firm Insight in the Artificial Intelligence class – with KMPG also featuring as a runner-up in the Health Partner of the Year award. Fellow Big Four firm EY meanwhile received recognition as a finalist in the Microsoft Partner of the Year Awards' Government category.
"It’s an honor to recognize the 2018 Partner of the Year Award winners and finalists, which represent the best and most forward-thinking innovators coming out of our partner community,” Gavriella Schuster, corporate vice president of Commercial Partner Channels and Programmes for Microsoft said. “These companies are bringing cutting-edge solutions to complex business challenges and providing digital transformation opportunities for their customers.”
