L.E.K. bolsters APAC healthcare practice with appointment of Dilpreet Singh
Global management firm L.E.K Consulting has bolstered its healthcare practice with the appointment of Dilpreet Singh as Principal in Singapore.
Kicking off as a Life Sciences business consultant for EY in Mumbai, Singh has for the past ten years served in a variety of roles as a strategy advisor to the healthcare and life sciences sectors – crossing to L.E.K. Consulting after a five-year stint with the healthcare-focused IT services firm IMS Consulting Group in Singapore; most recently as Senior Principal with a focus on commercial strategies for APAC investments.
In his new role with L.E.K., Singh, who began his career as an orthopaedic surgeon in New Delhi and holds an MBA in addition to his medical qualifications, will apply his broad expertise in M&A and growth and market access strategies in the areas of healthcare provision, life sciences and medical technology to help lead L.E.K.’s Healthcare Services, Life Sciences and MedTech practices from the firm’s Asia-Pacific Life Sciences base in Singapore.
“Dilpreet has a profound understanding of the dynamics of the pharma and medical devices markets across Asia, and he is a trusted advisor to a number of leaders in these sectors,” said Fabio La Mola, Partner in the Life Sciences practice. “His addition to the Life Sciences team significantly strengthens our ability to serve our headquarters in Singapore.”
A stone’s throw from Marina Bay in the heart of the city, and acting as an integrated Southeast Asian hub for clients such as financial investors and large to mid-sized corporates, L.E.K.’s Singapore office – one of eight for APAC including outlets in India, China, Japan, South Korea and Australia – offers a range of management and strategy services across numerous industries, with, among other areas, a particular focus on the healthcare, life sciences, pharmaceutical and medtech sectors.
The consulting firm, in operation in Singapore for over 20 years, prides itself on providing deep industry expertise, with its 1,200 consultants globally bringing to the table a unique area of knowledge and specialisation – such as with Singh’s medical and business administration background. In addition, the Singapore office has a diverse range of language capabilities to service its Southeast Asian client-base, including Mandarin, Thai, Tagalog, Malay and Bahasa Indonesia along with English.
Recently, the Singapore office welcomed new partners Ashwin Assomull, Danish Kamal Faruqui and Anip Sharma to its education practice, who have between them worked on 600 different projects advising public and private education organisations in over 90 countries, while earlier this month, the firm attracted a financing package from Lloyds to fund its ongoing plans for expansion – building on L.E.K. Consulting’s nineteen current worldwide locations.
