SKIM expands presence in Asia with new office in Shanghai
SKIM, a global insights-based consulting firm, has opened a new office in Shanghai, marking the next step in the company’s growth in the Asia-Pacific region.
Established in 1979 in the Netherlands, SKIM has over the past four-and-a-half decades evolved into a global consultancy insights-based with offices worldwide. Shanghai becomes the firm’s second Asia-Pacific office alongside Singapore, with its other hubs based across Europe, Latin America, and North America.
In an announcement announcing the expansion, SKIM said its new hub in China will help deepen its relationships with existing clients in China, as well as better position the firm to tap into opportunities in the – massive – local market. SKIM specializes in areas of expertise such as marketing, branding, pricing, revenue management, and competitive intelligence insights.
“Strengthening our presence in China is an opportunity in a market that continues to shape the future of business globally,” said Julie Smith, Managing Director for Asia-Pacific at SKIM. “Our Shanghai office will enable us to strengthen local client relationships, deepen our understanding of market developments, and support businesses seeking sustainable growth opportunities.”

SKIM’s presence in China will be led by Joanne Foo, who brings extensive experience working with Chinese clients across the region. She has a deep understanding of local market dynamics, complex business environments, and brings strong client relationships throughout China and Asia.
