FTI Consulting promotes Alex Wong and Enqing Wang to Senior Managing Director

FTI Consulting has appointed two Senior Managing Directors in its Asian business: Alex Wong and Enqing Wang.

A member of the Corporate Finance & Restructuring practice, based in Hong Kong, Alex Wong has 20 years of M&A and financing experience in investment banks, as well as corporate strategy and executive management experience.

Wang began his career with Citigroup in New York and has focused on M&A originations, executions and merger arbitrage situations across the Asia Pacific region in various institutions, namely Goldman Sachs, Lazard and JPMorgan.

At JPMorgan, he was Head of Hong Kong and Taiwan Investment Banking in Financial Institutions, executing numerous landmark M&A and capital market transactions in Greater China, and led the establishment of the Private Client Advisory group offering best-in-class corporate finance advisory services to ultra high-net-worth private banking clients.

Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Wang was Managing Partner at Oasis Advisory, a boutique consulting firm he founded that specialises in advising disruptive startups on fundraising strategies and business development. Before that, he was the Chief Strategy Officer at TNG FinTech Group, leading its acquisitions in Southeast Asia, capital markets and fundraising activities, as well as coordinating communications with the Hong Kong Monetary Authority.

Enqing Wang meanwhile is a member of the Business Transformation practice within the Corporate Finance & Restructuring division. He is based in Shanghai.

Wang has more than a dozen years of experience in business transformation and change management, supporting both multinational corporations and leading domestic enterprises in China. His sector focus is primarily on consumer goods, where he helps organizations navigate complex operational and strategic challenges.

Throughout his career, he has led major transformation initiatives across strategic growth planning and implementation, branding and channel strategy, digital transformation and mergers & acquisitions.

Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Wang worked at Bain & Company and Boston Consulting Group, where he was a core leader in the consumer goods practice for Greater China.
