Simon-Kucher appoints Charles Wong to lead Retail & Digital Banking in APAC
Simon-Kucher, a global consultancy specialized in commercial growth and pricing, has appointed Charles Wong as Senior Partner and Head of its Retail and Digital Banking practice across the Asia-Pacific region.
Charles Wong brings more than 25 years of experience in retail banking, digital transformation, ecosystem banking, and strategic marketing across Asia-Pacific. Most recently, he served as Founding CEO of GXS Bank Singapore, where he led the successful application for and launch of Singapore’s full digital banking license and built the bank’s retail and ecosystem platform from inception.
Previously, Wong held senior regional roles at Citi, including Managing Director and Head of Retail Banking in Singapore, and Regional Head of Emerging Affluent for Asia-Pacific. In these positions, he led product innovation, wealth and deposit strategies, and customer experience initiatives across multiple markets. Earlier in his career, Wong was Regional Head of Strategy & Marketing for Global Markets, overseeing strategic and client initiatives across Asia-Pacific.
In his new role at Simon-Kucher, will drive the expansion of the firm’s retail and digital banking capabilities, supporting clients in transforming commercial models, accelerating digital growth, enhancing customer experiences, and optimizing pricing and monetization strategies.
