Alvarez & Marsal adds Varun Rajani to Performance Improvement practice

Alvarez & Marsal has appointed Varun Rajani as a Managing Director in its Performance Improvement practice.

Based in Singapore, brings over 15 years of experience across Asia-Pacific and the United States to the global consulting firm.

At Alvarez & Marsal, he leads high-tech private equity performance improvement across areas including AI, software-as-a-service (SaaS), data, and security, in Southeast Asia and Australia. His main areas of expertise include value creation with AI and digital, enterprise growth and operating models, operational excellence, and cost optimization.

Throughout his career, Rajani has led 50+ complex transformation programs across Southeast Asia, India, Australia, New Zealand, and the US, spanning a range of industries including technology, media, and telecommunications, consumer retail, manufacturing, and financial services.

Prior to joining Alvarez & Marsal, Rajani spent approximately four years at ServiceNow, where he led value creation and strategic pursuits for the two mains industry verticals.

Before that, he was a Senior Principal at Kearney, where he led the growth of the firm’s Telecommunications and Digital Transformation practices in Southeast Asia. He also previously served as acting Chief Operations Officer for a SaaS company in India.
