Global professional services firm WTW has appointed Daphne Duan (Wheal) as Director of Strategic Risk Consulting for Asia.
Based out of Singapore, Daphne Duan will be responsible for the firm’s risk advisory and insurance optimisation services to large and complex companies across the region. The practice she leads is part of Willis, a business of WTW.
A UK-qualified actuary with 20 years of experience in risk analytics and reserving, Duan will work closely with risk consultants, captive managers, and specialty risk engineers.
Duan joins WTW from rival Marsh, where she headed the Specialty and Quantitative Risk Analytics unit for the past two years. Prior to that, she worked at AXA Partners and Argo Group in London. Earlier in her career, she held actuarial analyst roles at Aon and Hiscox.
Formerly known as Willis Towers Watson, WTW is a global advisory, broking, and solutions company formed from the merger of Willis Group and Towers Watson. Early this year, the company revived Willis as a trading brand.
