Ankura adds Paul Tan to Forensic practice in China

Ankura has strengthened its Forensic practice in China with the hire of senior expert Paul Tan.
Appointed a Senior Managing Director in Shanghai, Paul Tan has been assisting international clients to address risks related to fraud, misappropriation, and corruption for more than 20 years. Prior to joining Ankura, he spent 16 years in the Forensic practice of a Big Four firm in Shanghai where he specialized in forensic and compliance services.
Tan has extensive experience in conducting forensic accounting reviews, compliance risk assessments, due diligence, and fraud detection and monitoring in China. His clients, including multinational companies and other organizations, span across many different industries.
He often works with clients’ legal advisors to conduct forensic reviews in response to whistle-blower allegations, regulator inquiries, and other incidents. He is experienced in conducting robust and objective reviews that stand up to scrutiny by regulators, external auditors, and other stakeholders.
Tan has also helped a range of clients to strengthen their compliance programs in China, to develop pro-active monitoring solutions, and to enhance business ethics awareness and speak-up culture.
