Global professional services firm EY has acquired Kreatif, a Microsoft services provider in Indonesia with around 110 professionals.

Established in 2012, Kreatif is a Jakarta-based IT consultancy firm dedicated to Microsoft solutions. The firm advises and supports clients with the implementation of ERP, CRM, Power BI, Office 365 and Cloud solutions, among others.

The deal will see Kreatif become part of EY’s Technology Consulting business, and act as the foundation for the newly launched Microsoft Center of Excellence that will serve clients in Indonesia and the wider ASEAN region. The three co-founders of Kreatif have been named co-leaders of the Center of Excellence.

Peter Surja, Country Managing Partner for Indonesia at EY, said: “his acquisition marks a significant milestone in enhancing our Technology Consulting practice and empowering us to better support our clients’ transformation journeys. By integrating Kreatif's expertise with EY’s resources and extensive industry insights, we aim to drive greater innovation within our clients' organizations and contribute meaningfully to Indonesia’s digital and economic growth.”

Gaurav Modi, ASEAN Consulting Leader at EY, added: “Over the past few years, EY Consulting has experienced rapid growth across ASEAN, particularly in digital transformation, innovation, data and AI, and cybersecurity. Indonesia has been one of the highest growth regions in ASEAN for EY Consulting, and this acquisition adds additional capabilities to not only serve the local market but act as a Center of Excellence to support the rest of the EY network in ASEAN.”

Commenting on the joining of forces with the Big Four firm, Galib Machri, co-founder of Kreatif and now a partner at EY, noted: “Collaborating with EY marks an exciting new chapter, unlocking unprecedented opportunities for expansion and development. As a Center of Excellence, we are poised to lead in providing Microsoft-based services and solutions.”

EY has offices in all 10 countries of the ASEAN region: Brunei, Burma, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.

According to data from Consultancy.org, the deal is EY’s first in 2025 anywhere around the world, with its most recent transaction closed in Australia (cyber specialist J Group Consulting).
