Justin Tan leads L.E.K. Consulting’s financial services practice in Asia-Pacific

Global strategy consultancy L.E.K. Consulting has named Justin Tan as a Partner and Head of its Financial Services practice across Asia-Pacific.

Based in the Singapore office, Justin Tan will spearhead the firm’s efforts to expand its financial services offerings across Asia-Pacific. In the region, L.E.K. Consulting operates with offices in Mumbai, New Delhi, Shanghai, Singapore, Tokyo, as well as two in Australia (Melbourne and Sydney).

Before joining L.E.K. Consulting, Tan was a Partner and Regional Leader at Arthur D. Little, where he led its Financial Services practice in Asia-Pacific. Before that, he also was a partner at Mazars and Oliver Wyman, and at Stamford Advisory, a boutique Singapore-based player which he co-founded.

In between his two Oliver Wyman spells, Tan served as Head of Strategy and Business Development at Merrill Lynch, within its Wealth Management business in the APAC region.

Tan’s experience includes strategy development, business growth and transformation, organizational design, and risk management for clients across retail and business banking, corporate and institutional banking, wealth management, insurance and asset management. He also has deep knowhow of topics such as data analytics and AI, strategic alliances, joint ventures, and mergers & acquisitions.

Justin Tan graduated with Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Management Science degrees from Stanford University and holds Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Financial Risk Manager (FRM) certifications.
