Teneo appoints Seiji Inada as a managing director in Tokyo office

Global advisory business Teneo has added Seiji Inada to its Strategy & Communications practice in Tokyo.

Appointed a Managing Director, Seiji Inada brings over two decades of experience in international relations and strategic advisory to the firm. Prior to joining Teneo, he served as the Japan Country Representative for Eurasia Group, where he provided strategic counsel to C-suite executives across various sectors. He has also served as a senior advisor to KPMG in Japan in the area of geopolitics and economic security risk management.

Inada began his career at Japan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, holding roles in the Economic Affairs Bureau and Japan’s Delegation to the European Union. He later served at the Prime Minister’s Office, where he advised on national security and crisis management and coordinated Japan - US efforts during the Fukushima-Daiichi nuclear disaster.

In between, he also held leadership positions at PwC, MetLife and the World Economic Forum, specializing in public and corporate affairs.

Inada is a graduate of Waseda University and holds an MPA from the Catholic University of Leuven. He has served on Japan’s National Security Council in the Prime Minister’s office, as well as on the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications’ International Strategy Working Group.
