APAC chair Pascal Jauffret appointed as CEO of Forvis Mazars

Having come together earlier this year, global accounting and consulting firm Forvis Mazars will enter 2025 with a new leadership structure, with Pascal Jauffret as CEO and Hervé Hélias to serve as Chair.

Led by Hélias for more than a decade, French-origin Mazars merged with US-based counterpart Forvis in the middle of 2024, the company’s combined $5 billion in annual revenues creating a new top-ten global player.

Stepping up as CEO, Jauffret also serves as chairman of Asia Pacific out of Singapore. As a long-term leader of Mazars’ regional practice, Jauffret is credited with driving the firm’s push into Australia among other new markets.

“I am truly honoured to have been elected to this new role by the partnership and look forward to driving our strategy forward, sparking long-term growth and success in those business areas where we seek to excel and provide a bright future to our people,” stated Jauffret, who has also spent the past five years as a member of Mazars’ group executive board.

Having joined the firm in Paris in 1997, Jauffret was later assigned to a business development leadership role for the Asia Pacific, a practice he would ultimately head prior to returning to Europe for five years as managing partner for Italy. In 2019, he was appointed APAC chairman, and has also been leading Mazars’ global M&A function for geographic expansion.

His ascension to CEO of the newly-formed ‘Group Executive Committee’ is part of the firm’s rejigged governance structure, with Jauffret to oversee delivery of day-to-day operations and the execution of strategy as set by the ‘Group Governing Board’, the latter which will be led by Hélias as Chair. Forvis Mazars said the new framework aims to support sustainable growth and agility.

“Stewardship is one of our core values and as we have grown and strengthened our business we decided to evolve its governance,” Hélias stated. “This will allow us to continue to grow our partnership as a distinctive and resilient force in the market, and I am delighted Pascal will assume the role of CEO. With his extensive international experience, I cannot think of anyone better to put our strategy into action.”
