Andersen Global has entered the Japanese market through a collaboration agreement with Opti, a boutique tax consulting business operating out of Tokyo.

Founded in 2010 by Founder and Managing Partner Akatsuki Fuchigami, Opti help foreign businesses (from SMEs to multinationals) with entering the Japanese market in a tax optimized manner and becoming compliant with Japanese laws. The consulting firm specializes in corporate and international taxation.

Opti also helps its foreign clients manage indirect tax matters in Japan, supporting areas such as consumer taxes on goods on services, VAT refunds, Japanese Consumption Tax, and more.

“While full of opportunities, expanding into Japan requires commitment, resources and expertise. With our help, businesses can unlock their full potential while we optimize their tax requirements,” said Fuchigami. “Our team of professionals delivers a wealth of industry knowledge and technical insights to clients.”

Now part of Andersen Global, a global network of more than 2,000 firms in around 500 locations, Opti will be able to extend its capabilities and reach, said Fuchigami. “Collaborating with Andersen Global signifies our firm’s dedication to drive results and provide seamless service worldwide.”

With Japan now added to its footprint, Andersen Global has a presence in nearly all of the major economies in the Asia Pacific region. “The addition of Opti enhances our global capabilities and sharpens our competitive edge in the region,” commented Mark Vorsatz, Chairman and CEO of Andersen Global.
