Deloitte Consulting names Bae Jae-min as leader of South Korea business
Deloitte Consulting has appointed Bae Jae-min as the new leader of its South Korea business.
Effective June 1, 2024, Bae Jae-min will lead the consulting arm of Deloitte, which includes the labels Deloitte Consulting, Monitor Deloitte (strategy consulting), and Deloitte Digital (digital, technology and creative).
Jae-min joined Deloitte Consulting in March of this year after spending more than 16 years at rival Big Four firm PwC, where he worked in its Advisory division focused on technology, digital transformation, enterprise resources planning, and mergers & acquisitions.
Throughout his career, Jae-min has led advisory services for Korean conglomerates such as Samsung, SK Group, LG, and Hyundai. He earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees at Korea University in Seoul.
Commenting on his plans for the business, Jae-min said that Deloitte Consulting will in the coming period strengthen its services in the areas of artificial intelligence, blockchain and data, to meet growing demand in these fields. He also aims to ramp up the capabilities in other high-demand areas such as operational excellence, human capital and digital.
Earlier this month, Deloitte appointed Kim Seok-ki as the new CFO of its South Korean business. He has been with the global accounting and consulting firm since the turn of the century.
