Vikram Kapur leads Healthcare & Life Sciences practice of Bain & Company

Bain & Company has appointed Asia-based Vikram Kapur, a 23-year veteran of the global strategy consultancy firm, as the new leader of its Healthcare & Life Sciences practice.

Currently the Asia Pacific leader of the Healthcare & Life Sciences practice, Vikram Kapur will make the step up with immediate effect, succeeding Tim van Biesen, who led the practice for 15 years and is transitioning to the role of Chairman of the Healthcare & Life Sciences practice.

Kapur, who will lead the practice out of Singapore, has more than 20+ years of management consulting and operating experience. He specialises in strategy development, operational improvement, acquisition due diligence and complex cross-border M&A and integration efforts.

He joined Bain & Company’s Chicago office in 2001, and then went on to work from the firm’s offices in Singapore, Chicago, Dallas, Stockholm, New York, and Hong Kong.

In his new role, he will be responsible for overseeing business and client development, as well as managing the practice’s team of consultants, functional staff, and industry executive network.

Kapur holds an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, a Master’s in industrial engineering from Northwestern University and a Bachelor’s in electrical engineering from Case Western Reserve University.
