Global consulting firm Teneo has appointed May Knight as Vice Chair for its Asia Pacific business unit.
Operating out of Hong Kong, May Knight will oversee Teneo’s six offices in the region – Tokyo, Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Singapore and Sydney – and oversee the firm’s five business segments – Strategy & Communications, Financial Advisory, Management Consulting, People Advisory and Risk Advisory.
Headquartered in the US, Teneo is a consulting firm with over 1,600 staff across 40 offices worldwide.
In her role, Knight will work with Teneo’s leaders in Asia Pacific to drive growth, and ensure a seamless experience for clients across offerings and geographies, in particular for multidisciplinary and cross-border projects.
Knight will also provide counsel to some of Teneo’s top clients in the region, leveraging her three decades of experience in areas such as strategy, operations, organisational design and people and leadership.
She joins Teneo from Korn Ferry, where she served as Senior Partner in its Financial Services practice, based in London. Prior to that, she spent more than six years as President of Korn Ferry’s Advisory division in Asia Pacific, where she was responsible for 28 offices across 14 markets in the region. Earlier, she worked for Accenture and Ernst & Young, among others.
“I’m excited to return to Asia Pacific to join Teneo,” commented Knight. “The team is partnering with global leaders to build dynamic businesses across a region that is experiencing rapid economic growth amid increasingly complex geopolitical conditions.”
Paul Keary, CEO of Teneo, commented: “May joins Teneo as the breadth of opportunities and challenges we see in the global economy continue to disrupt established business models. Her cross-disciplinary consulting expertise positions her well to guide our clients in Asia Pacific through strategic, leadership and operational changes. We are delighted to have someone of May’s calibre and local expertise join Teneo.”
