Strategy& has launched in Kazakhstan, with teams in place in Almaty and Astana to serve the local consulting market as well as surrounding countries.

With over 3,000 consultants in 50+ offices, Strategy& is one of the largest – and most reputable – strategic consulting firms in the world.

At a special ceremony in Almaty earlier this week, Strategy&’s global managing partner Peter Gassmann formally inaugurated the firm’s latest office, highlighting the significant growth opportunities offered in Kazakhstan and the wider Eurasia region.

“With its vibrant markets, rich cultural diversity, and immense potential, Eurasia presents Strategy& with incredible opportunities to collaborate with visionary leaders, businesses, and organizations in the region. Strategy& helps organizations not only to navigate the rapidly evolving business landscape, but also to excel. Our team of practical strategists deliver strategic insights and innovative solutions that drive measurable impact,” Gassmann said.

Operating out of Kazakhstan, the local team will also serve other markets including Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan.

“The launch of Strategy& in the region is a testament to our commitment to growth, innovation, and providing exceptional strategic solutions to our clients in the region,” said Gassmann.

Leading the Kazakhstan office is Natalya Lim, who has been with parent PwC for seventeen years and has now crossed to Strategy&. She has around two decades of professional experience in advising clients on investment strategies and operational improvement.

Lim also has extensive experience in deals and transactions, having supported more than 200 transactions across Europe and Middle East, including Russia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Mongolia, Georgia, Armenia, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Turke.

“Our local team lead by Natalya is ready to immerse themselves in the unique dynamics of these markets to drive transformative change, and create long-lasting impact within the Eurasian market,” commented Gassmann.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by distinguished guests from business and government, and featured prominent speakers such as Umut Shaykhmetova (CEO of Halyk Group), Dinara Iskakova (CEO of OrbisAuto), and Serik Tolukpayev (owner of Aitas Group). Also featuring as speakers were two leaders from PwC: Azamat Konratbaev (Managing Partner of Kazakhstan) and Dana Inkarbekova (Managing Partner for Eurasia).

Strategy& traces its roots back to Booz & Company, which was acquired by PwC in 2013. Due to contractual obligations with Booz Allen Hamilton, Booz & Company was then soon rebranded as Strategy&.
