EY appoints Yew-Poh Mak as Deputy Managing Partner for APAC
EY has appointed Yew-Poh Mak as Asia-Pacific Deputy Area Managing Partner, succeeding Harsha Basnayake as he assumes a global role at the Big Four firm.
Yew-Poh Mak has over 30 years of management consulting and corporate management experience. Prior to his step up, he was the Asia-Pacific leader of the Strategy & Transactions division, leading the firm’s teams focuses on strategy, cross-border transactions, financial advisory, and strategy execution, among others.
Mak is currently based in Singapore, but previously spent 20 years of his career in China.
In his new role, Mak will work closely with EY’s Asia-Pacific leadership team to drive execution of the new EY global strategy whilst building out strategic capabilities and operational functions to achieve greater alignment, efficiencies and growth across Asia-Pacific.
