BrazilAlvarez & Marsal launches 4th Greater China office in Shenzhen
Global management consulting firm Alvarez & Marsal has opened a new office in Shenzhen, its fourth in Greater China.
The expansion into Shenzhen comes in response to growing demand for its services, said Davin Teo, Managing Director and Co-leader of Alvarez & Marsal’s Disputes & Investigations practice in Asia.
Over the past four years, Alvarez & Marsal has more than doubled the size of its team in Greater China, which operates from offices in Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong and now also Shenzhen.
The firm owes much of its growth in the region to booming demand for its disputes and investigations services, which will also be the key area of focus in the fresh Shenzhen hub.
“The proportion of Chinese firms in our portfolio across North Asia has risen from 10 percent to more than 50 percent in recent years. A key driver of this increase is the rise in intellectual property (IP) disputes and investigations from companies, operating in the Greater Bay Area. Expanding our forensic technology capabilities in Shenzhen was the natural next step to meet the market’s growing demand for services on the ground,” said Teo.
