Equiteq completes three deal mandates in Asia Pacific region

Global M&A consultancy Equiteq has capped a busy few weeks in Asia Pacific, seeing three of its transaction mandates come to a successful completion.

With offices in London, New York, Boston, Paris, and two in Asia Pacific – Singapore and Sydney, Equiteq is one of the leading investment banking and corporate finance advisory firms to the professional services and technology sectors.

In recent weeks, Equiteq has completed two sell-side mandates, following the sales of Singapore-based Hello Technology to Australian counterpart Soprano Design, and India-based Consus Global to Japan-headquartered YCP. Meanwhile, out of Australia, Equiteq helped TSA Management make a grand entrance in the UK market with the bolt-on of Henry Riley.

Announced yesterday, Management (a portfolio company of Quadrant Private Equity) has added 200 staff to its team with the acquisition of Henry Riley, a UK-based project management and quantity surveying business.

TSA Management already operates across Australia, New Zealand and Malaysia, and now adds 9 offices in the UK to its outfit. Its global headcount has jumped to 850-strong.

Equiteq acted as corporate finance advisor to TSA Management, flanked by Minter Ellison as legal advisors.

Sell-side to larger counterparts

Meanwhile, in Singapore, Equiteq acted as financial advisor to Consus Global, an international procurement & supply chain solutions provider, during its sale to YCP, an Asia-focused professional services firm listed in Japan. The deal was announced late April.

Consus Global will become part of YCP’s consulting business, and adds around 100 staff to YCP, lifting the size of its team to 450.

Also in Singapore, Equiteq acted as financial advisor to Hello Technology, which has been acquired by Sydney-headquartered Soprano Design for an undisclosed sum. Both companies are active in the mobile messaging technology business, with the deal supported by Equiteq’s technology-sector focused team. The deal was announced on April 18, 2023.
