Arthur D. Little installs Dereck Ji as China managing partner

Arthur D. Little has appointed Dereck Ji as the new managing partner of its China business.

The new country leader brings over 30 years of working experience in mainland China to the role, most of which he gained in the strategy and management consulting industry.

Based in the Shanghai office, Ji has a wealth of experience on topics including strategy, regional economic development, business transformation, and ESG and sustainability. His track record spans working with Chinese state-owned enterprises, public sector organisations, and private sector enterprises, including in the real estate sector.

Prior to joining Arthur D. Little, Ji worked at fellow global consulting firms PA Consulting, Roland Berger, and EY-Parthenon. At EY-Parthenon, Ji was a partner and leader of the Strategy practice. Leading a team of strategy consultants, he delivered numerous projects in city development and regional economic development areas for leading cities in China, including Beijing, Shanghai, Zhengzhou, and Shenyang.

During his time Roland Berger, Ji was a senior practitioner, and a key member of the team that established its public service practice in China.
